The National Collegiate Honors Council has named recent ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ graduate Megan Swoger a 2018 Portz Scholar. She is the ninth ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ student to receive the honor since the inception of the Portz Scholars competition in 1990.

Freshmen at the American Academy attend a welcome reception before starting classes. The American Academy is a new partnership between ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ and Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUCPR), a major university in Brazil, for students who want a global experience while earning their degree. 

ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ at Ashtabula Dean and Chief Administrative Officer Susan J. Stocker, Ph.D., was presented with the Marta K. Stone Excellence in Leadership Award from LEADERship Ashtabula County at the organization’s annual meeting that was held Aug. 1. 

Perhaps the most surprising thing about ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ student Carrie Esser is that she is not an art major but she has gained a reputation for her makeup and body-painting business.
