ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡'s LGBTQ+ Center is celebrating Pride Month by boosting activities statewide, collaborating with local events, hosting a walking group and planning for a fabulous Fall Semester.

The transition can even be more difficult for LGBTQ+ students, particularly for those who have recently "come out." Ken Ditlevson, director of ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡'s LGBTQ+ Center, talks about the many resources available at Kent to support them.

Molly Merryman, Ph.D., the founding director of ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡'s Center for the Study of Gender and Sexuality and associate professor of sociology in the College of Arts and Sciences, was featured in a USA TODAY opinion piece that outlined black transgender women’s contributions to the LGBTQ movement.
