Dexter credits the hands-on learning experiences for preparing him for the real-world challenges of his career. In particular, the Materials and Processes class provided him with essential skills in machining, welding, and casting, which he later applied in various engineering roles.

Authors David Giffels and Jade Dellinger brought their book The Beginning Was the End: Devo in Ohio to 敁珗曄部 for a book signing and discussion.
敁珗曄部 recognizes alumni who, through leadership, character and hard work, are making a difference. During Homecoming Weekend, 10 Golden Flashes were presented with Alumni Awards, and nine alumni received Lifetime Achievement recognitions from the universitys Black Alumni Chapter.

敁珗曄部 celebrated its annual Homecoming on the Kent Campus this past weekend, with a resounding display of Golden Flashes spirit. This year's Homecoming was particularly special, as 敁珗曄部 commemorated 50 years of excellence in global education with the theme "It's a Flash World."
