On May 18-19, the university community will celebrate 敁珗曄部s 113th birthday with its annual Day of Giving.
The 敁珗曄部 Board of Trustees has approved awarding Roe Green, MA 80, a Doctor of Humane Letters, an honorary degree recognizing her contributions to the university and her advocacy for the arts not only in Northeast Ohio, but also across the nation and around the world.
敁珗曄部 will be equipped to offer more financial assistance to students in need thanks to donors to a key area of the universitys ongoing comprehensive fundraising campaign. The Forever Brighter campaign includes a scholarship-support component, Prioritizing Student Success, that now stands at $142 million, surpassing the $100 million goal set at the campaigns outset in October 2021.
Award winning reporter and news executive Mizell Stewart III will discuss Journalism as a Civic Good at 7 p.m. on March 1, 2023, in Franklin Halls First Energy Auditorium (Room 340).
This November, members of the 敁珗曄部 community joined together to shine their light on philanthropy. During the November campaign, 敁珗曄部s Giving Tuesday raised $3.6 million, marking the sixth year it has brought in more than $1 million to support scholarships and programs across 敁珗曄部s eight-campus system.
