Many professors have certain influences that inspire them to teach. For David Kaplan, Ph.D., professor in ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡'s Department of Geography, that inspiration comes from his father.

“I definitely had a purpose going into my college career, and ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ Stark helped me achieve it,†says ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ graduate Kent Weaver.

Armed with a biology degree, completed entirely at ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ at Stark, Kent Weaver says he is more than ready to pursue his calling to become a doctor of veterinary medicine.

John D. Johnson, associate professor of biological sciences, received a three-year, $450,000 grant for a study that could provide a better understanding of how we create deeply-ingrained fear memories — and how to stop them.
